As 90733/90775 weren't ex BR then adding those then leads to other ''foreign muck'' and/or a raft of industrial ex 680xx's austerities.

21C123 is still, technically, in ticket, although not in a usable condition.

34059 had her boiler test last summer so is in ticket, although I imagine she would be re-tested just before her actual return to service

You're obviously ignoring the industrial and narrow gauge locos that people have posted as being 'in ticket'. [-X

It didn't start out like that. You changed the goalposts part way through. But why leave out industrial or N.G? Don't they count in your book?

Having read this thread throughout twice I think the intention was to compile a comprehensive list of all operational ex BR standard gauge steam locomotives. If that is the case then I think six locos need removing from the GWR list as surely 3,4, 8, 9, 822 & 823 are all narrow gauge.
Also why is 60163 in the LNER section? It was never a BR loco. It is a privately built replica based on a BR built class that followed LNER practice. I do not wish to denigrate such a magnificent locomotive but surely the rule that keeps out all the 680XX pseudo J94s should also apply?

The first post:would anyone care to attempt a definitive list?

(I'd suggest copy and paste previous list if you want to make additions)

    The follow up post

oo er...this is gouing to be huge maybe we had better stick to ex BR for the time being...

Now in those two posts where are the words STANDARD or GAUGE??

As for 60163 the builders have always advertised it as the next A1,not a replica. Not sure it exactly washes with me but.........

Anyway as you such a fault finding expert over to you to list all the industrials and narrow gauge locos currently in ticket-perhaps from 7 1/4 in gauge upwards?
Should keep you quiet for a while.

I thought 5197's ticket ran out after the gala, or has it been granted an extension?

Just thought I'd mention that 5552 is also in the shed at Buckfastleigh in bits, not sure exactly what is happening to her but think it may be to do with the wheels.

Also 5786 is out of service for at least a week or two for her repaint into Black for the big 40th Gala.

I think they are doing something to 5542 as well but again I'm not sure what.

Hope it helps, although I spose it's not really relevant as hey should all be in service again on April 5th
