    Re: LU 150 plans...

Well, someone had to do it:

Baker Street Underground station in 1863 made out of Lego, complete with a Metropolitan 4-4-0 tank and period train.

That's quite impressive, though I suspect he has deep pockets and a garage full of blocks, every time I tried to make something I wanted out of Lego as a kid, I never had enough blocks of the right type/colour, a toy you can make anything out of ?, er no, not unless you have a huge strategic reserve of the stuff.

Just as well, as I couldn't find Robin's...

My plan is thus: Visit LTM in the afternoon, before repairing to the Metropolitan. See the 19:15 off Moorgate pass through, before once again repairing to the Metropolitan for a meal. See the 20:25 off Moorgate and the 20:45 return, before heading for Moorgate to catch the 22:30. Just hoping the weather plays ball...

Hoping to head along. Have to see if I can persuade a few others along too.

Time wise I'll need to check the times but will be there for the 7ish one I think. Dinner with the congregation near Liverpool St and then head towards Baker Street. Despite being less photogenic I may head to Euston Square. Local station I use going from work.

Thanks. Think it's worth highlighting the current weather warning on that page. Only light snow forecast for London today (Saturday). Sunday's current forecast is again for light snow but it may become more widespread and it will be very icy later:

Edited to add: The latest BBC News Channel weather forecast (9:20am Saturday) predicts more significant snow moving into London and surrounds from late morning / mid-afternoon Sunday, heading away (northwards) during the evening.

NOTICE: We are still planning on running the steam train on Sunday 20 January, as part of the Tube 150 celebrations. If the bad snow conditions continue a final decision will be made at 14.00 on Sunday. Please keep an eye on the website for up to date information.

Please note that if the train is cancelled and we are unable to reschedule, ticket holders will be entitled to a full refund.

It started snowing again in west London just after 8:30am today (Sunday). Same as Friday - small flakes but fairly relentless.

Since the LUL decision isn't due until 14:00, it's rather difficult to post news prior to that announcement.

It's snowing quite hard (that is relative to central London)... About 2-3 inches. (Anything more than a few cm's the city stops)

underground.. I doubt you will see much snow in the tunnel :)
