A further 1545 update on the LT Museum website again says that they still plan to run tonight but to also keep an eye on their website. Snow still falling in west London and predicted to be very icy later. Feel sorry for those travelling any distance to see or take part in this with some current transport disruption in and around London, as well as the planned Underground closures. Was planning to stick with this tonight (assuming all goes ahead) until the final 23:03 arrival at Earl's Court but wouldn't like to risk a walk home just before midnight in these conditions.

A train is running in that path - watched it reverse at Gloucester Road using TrackerNet, on my work laptop, and it's just reappeared at Paddington (Circle Line). Nearly at Edgware Road.

I'm on the 2235 departure from Moorgate, so if you see a tall bloke with glasses and a gold LU 150 badge on his coat - say hello :)

    Regards,

    Dan

Quite a crowd at Gloucester Road and a fair bit of steam up front!

30 mins delay to the run as it has had to return to Gloucester Road due to the points failure in the Edgware Road area.

Plenty of smoke as it opened up out of baker street and the lucky passengers got an extra long run due to the ponts failure

Great time at Great Portland Street.

If I have time I'll upload my humble efforts tomorrow. One, if a bit poor, still below.

Many thanks must go to all the staff on duty.

Well THAT was splendid. A few changes to the timetable, but worth the wait in the snow. Here's my vid of Met No.1 coming through my home station of Barbican. We saw it and Sarah Siddons pass through there and Baker Street five times tonight but I generally prefer to watch rather than take pics or video.

Kudos to the BTP and the LUL staff present who let some of us stand on the Signal Box steps for a fantastic vantage point.

I think they may have terminated a couple of trains at Baker Street, although by 21:30 they were running through to Edgware Rd again.

Just got back in from tonight. Very interesting watching it go through the tunnels, photographs were so/so. Only managed to get bowled a couple of times which was lucky! Thanks to all involved who made it possible, it was a very unique experience. Roll on Steam on the Met in May!

The delay was a points problem at Edgware Road and the 19:15 working off Moorgate went to Gloucester Road to turn back. All other trips ran as advertised and the delay was back to zero by the time of the 21:35 departure from Moorgate. Great fun trundling through the Underground behind steam.
According to an LUL guy in my compartment the stock for the May runs will be the 4-TC.

How many LUL staff does it take to operate Sarah Siddons?

    That'll look nice. :)
Hopefully an LT Pannier will also be involved.
