    Don't know what all the whinging is about. Had a hideously coloured metallic turquoise Metro which came from a mate in the trade for £500, lasted nearly two years, and was then traded for £2000 scrappage allowance on a Fiat 500 for my wife. The Fiat is absolutely gutless compared to the 1.4i Metro! It wasn't quite as much fun as the Mini 1000 I had a few years previously (it was strangely reluctant to slide on the handbrake unlike the Mini), but it certainly wasn't a slouch, and I enjoyed chucking it about. My wife, on the other hand, hated everything about it, especially the colour.

    Mind you, the only other one I ever saw in that colour was being driven by an elderly gent in a flat cap and driving gloves :eek:
