It sure did! :) & no, I'm not going to say snap!! ;)

I was going to try & stay to the death, but I had to get home, the lure of a roast dinner never mind the 'fun' of getting round the M25 proved too much.

So, I'll counter your Crab, with the Black 5 - I know, I know, I said I wasn't going to process anything, but............. so some quick edits from me.

That'll be popular with steam WAGs......can see all the enthusiast blokes now trying to find a way of sneaking a trip to the Mid Hants that weekend!

Ah, National-Preservation has returned after it's little break!! Jolly good.

The 19 wagon goods train at the Mid-Hants gala was very impressive. It looked particularly good behind the Hughes Crab on Sunday in the autumn sunshine.
Well done to the wagon group for all their hard work and dedication.

A very enjoyable day was had from dawn to dusk. Thanks to all concerned. <BJ>

Here's a video of the events of the first couples of days at the gala

So it's another early gala again next year? Is this owing to the early Easter?

    My video from the weekend:

Good to see the T9 again, definitely the star of the weekend for me! Might have to go and see her at Swanage in a few weeks... :)

It all seemed to run pretty smoothly, and it was nice to see how well the late arrival of the T9 tender was coped with.
The cab visits to the thunderbird seemed to be popular when I was wandering around the yard too. That in itself will have enthused many of the children visiting over the weekend.
    Roll on Spring!!!

On behalf of the team in the Mid Hants Wagon Group. can I just say a big thank you to all of you who came and saw us at Medstead over the weekend - your generosity has certainly helped our 'fighting fund'! :):)

Hopefully we'll see you at the Spring Gala. ;)

A little late I know but here are a couple of my short videos from this great event. The second video from Saturday features mainly the van train with 30120 and 45379 both captured on this working:
