The B1 or B12 would be very nice! The B1 could come in off the ML between SD duties. Perhaps a deal will be done as the NNR are getting 34007 in September.

The B1 is going to Norwich and Lowestoft on the 24/10. The return is diesel hauled since it going back to the NNR for a couple of photcharters in November.

Don't think there's much chance of any of those three turning up, and you could include 60163 in that - would be too soon since her last visit.

Hopefully we won't end up with a bleedin Copper Top - had enough of them over the last few years, and I think Joe Public has too.........

    Ooohhh B12?! Suits you sir!

The Mid-hants is a long way from me but seeing the B12 out somewhere else could tempt me to do an overnighter.

Much as I admire the GWR, I fell you are right young Dave. LNER loco's don't really float my boat though.. Any Std 4 tanks going spare? Sort of LMS ish

I was thinking the same thing about the Standard 4 tanks. Are any available to hire though? 80080 is currently at the ELR. Can't recall any others being in service at the moment though (80104?)
Regarding the GWR, there is one Class of loco I would love to see and hear on the MHR as it didn't make it to last years GWR fest; a BR Black Manor :D

What about one of the Fairburn tanks from Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway. If they are in service.

I'll take that as a compliment, grandad........ :) (sorry, Steve, couldn't resist!)

Though you might be right about a Std 4 tank, after all "non LMS" could mean anything.......... personally, I'd like to see something other than a Std - & save those for when the Std 4 is back in traffic. ;)

Probably been looked into, and I for one would love to see it, but I'm not sure if its ever gone elsewhere...... maybe the owners don't want it to?......

42085 went to the Bluebell about five years ago. I seem to recall it was considered a bit of a holy grail engine at the time, though - they don't seem to travel much.

42085 is out for overhaul 42073 returned to traffic earlier this year. I suspect that it's unlikely to travel though.

The Fairburns are so elusive, they don't even admit when the things are running on their home line! I did catch the Bluebell outing which was magnificent!

Is there a politically acceptable S160 available? Or the Dub-dee from KWVR (I saw this briefly at the SVR earlier in the year, would look nice on our freight Dave)

75078 from K&WVR would be a better choice.

Would save me a long drive to Oxenhope later this year!
