    My vid of the Sunday is up, got to say a big thanks to the MHR for one of the best galas I have ever been to.

    Rather than just running the same rake of goods wagons up and down the line the rake took on different orders and lengths all weekend and as can be seen theres far more variety in the consist than any other preserved goods running.

    Just back from an epic week-long tour of galas and mainline steam. Mid Hants was a real eye-opener, and was easily the best gala I've been to for around two years. The weather was the icing on the cake. It goes to show that if you already have a diverse home fleet, there is very little need to get outside assistance. Ironically, however, I will definitely consider turning up for the full-blown Maunsell event when it does happen. Nellie with the 'Cunarder' headboard on the Saturday was also inspired. Congratulations to all involved; I've been to the Mid Hants twice this year, and both times I left contented and really impressed with the effort being put into running the railway.
