Ha ha :) also a little while back I overheard one of the MHR Ticket Inspectors refer to Nellie as Lord Help Us which amused me.Fratton Park - Skate Class may have upset my Grandad who supports Portsmouth FC if he'd seen it. The club I support is named after one of the LNER B17's. Probably would be names either Sales Class or Exiles class if it were to be applied to 925.

    Utter vandalism.

I hope someone gets a F1 for writing such offensive wording on such a fine loco...

They should have named it St. Marys

I hope that nobody from Warner Brothers or J. K. Rowling finds out about the Hogwarts nameplates otherwise they will be after some money! They are very strict about that sort of thing.

No sign of 825 or 5322 at Alresford this morning, 3 Mk1s are sat in the cattle dock - no sign of much movement.

825 is listed as still being in use on the NYMR services this weekend. 5322 could be on the way though as Didcot are not running any services until the weekend of 15th/16th September.

    34051 has arrived at the MHR and IS IN STEAM!.............. 34105 as 34051 8th May 1996 3.jpg 34105 as 34051 8th may 1996 2.jpg 34105 as 34051 8th may 1996 1_2.jpg

Sorry couldn't resist that! The three pictures are actually ones that I took on the 8th May 1996 when 34105 Swanage pretended to be 34051 for a VE Day Event at the railway.

Just of a laugh what about switching nameplates between 34007 and 34051 over the gala period?

    Hi Dave,

I saw the signs today when working at Stable lane but some photographers still didn't notice the farmers signs today and walked in to the field at Rookwood lane.

Any sign of a Mogul or S15 at Alresford? Might pop into Alresford tomorrow (or Wednesday) morning if I have time to see if the coaches are still there... Will post on here if I make it!

Oh dear... 825 pulls out! MHR statement:

We regret to announce that S15 No. 825 will no longer be attending our Autumn Steam Spectacular as we had planned. Sadly, due to the short notice and despite every effort a replacement guest locomotive could not be sourced in time. Our very own Black 5 No. 45379, which had not been rostered for this event, will now feature as a stand in to ensure we are still able to operate our excellent and intensive timetable service over the 3 days.Whilst the guest list has not transpired as we had intended, we think you will agree this is still a stellar line up of steam traction and photo opportunities. With Maunsell designed No. 925 Cheltenham appearing alongside No. 850 Lord Nelson and No. 31806, our confirmed guest No. 5322 from Didcot putting in some spirited performances over the 3 days, No. 31874 given a fresh coat of paint and No. 34051 Winston Churchill waiting for the cameras, its sure to be an event not to miss!A revised timetable with loco allocations will follow shorty. We fully intend to unite No. 777 Sir Lamiel and an S15 with Cheltenham, Lord Nelson and 31806 next year, so watch this space! We thank you in advance for your support and understanding. See you this Friday thru Sunday.

If 5322 turns up facing Alresford, one thing's for sure... I'll be going to Swanage!

The NYMR forum was saying 825 was not going on the 1st so I am not surprised by the announcement.
