    Fire was clogged - grate is closely spaced and the ash wasn't dropping through so it strangled the air supply, and there is a lot of standing around on that diagram. Added to which the loco draws air at the smokebox end. Was fine for the next trip though.

    There is one very good reason for not joining a gang ! Time!
    I work 6 days a week now and my former 12 hour days on all my days off at Ropley in my Loco dept days were well spent and hard work to boot.So Alas please dont think Im a director rather than a worker.
