I personally haven't heard anything, yet!

If H U knew, from working the Belle last night, surely he would've posted something by now?.....

Maybe 73129 has the answer, if he's been down today.

    Hopefully its nothing too serious....

We were told 'injectors', but you never really get to know on the night, as it's a tad too busy.
Good job it wasn't too chilly last night.

A couple of interesting reports in the December issue of The Railway Magazine about MHR based locos. 850 will remain at the MHR for her next overhaul due in Autumn 2015 and she may return after this overhaul in BR Green :)
It is also reported that 925 is off up North in January for the ELR Gala. Are the MHR getting something in exchange from the ELR I wonder for the Feb Gala?

Cannot wait to see Nellie in BR green as a Nelson hasn't been in a BR livery since the 1960's.....

    Such as?...........

As for 850, that rumour seems to crop up every so often, how much truth there is in it, I know not, but I hate to say it Brunswick would make a nice change! :)

As almost a constant presence through the post steam preservation period, Nellie is the engine that kind of disproves the statement that everything is painted BR Black or Green, having not run in anything other than Southern Livery...... although she would good in wartime black

Wasn't there a hint that the next gala would have an LMS theme? A Crab would look good over The Alps and, more importantly, would sound great! How long a rake of trucks could we put behind her?

The LMS theme idea went out the window due to loco unavailability didn't it?

But no good for photo charters, which only Middle Chrome or Deep Bronze will do.

Oh no not that debate again. All I know is the only green tins of paint I've seen on the gwsr have been marked as "brunswick green" so there..anyway it doesn't matter as it ought to stay exactly as it is livery wise for ever and ever and ever. :p
