Well, you should have had a decent preview last weekend!

In terms of Bluebell - MHR loco meet ups, I'm quite waiting for you chaps to finish one of the Urie S15s, so we can have a decent comparison between them and 847. In the meantime - have any of the SECR locos ever visited the Mid Hants? I'd like to see the H given the run of the Alps. Given the gradients, I'd reckon she'd handle four coaches without too much problem.

Didn't go - I was down the MHR putting in a shift - and Sunday was cancelled because of it! ;)

I think the O1 was due to visit a number of years ago but had to be replaced by the E4 when she failed the week before, IIRC.

30541 would be very nice seeing as the Q Class used to regularly work along the line.
When we went to the Bluebell Gala last weekend we travelled behind the Q and my Father said he remembered sitting in lessons at School in Farnham (along Weydon Lane) whilst these and the Q1's would rumble and clank past on freight turns.

So the provisional line-up so far for this event is:
    925
    34007
    41312
    45379
    76017
    92212

Not bad at all in my opinion! Would we need a visitor with two loco's returning to traffic?

    Hardly ages ago.

    Still wouldn't mind seeing 847 or 30541.

Agree, although I do think that Camelot may be a good one to have, especially alongside 76017...

Sir Lamorak would have made a great geuest engine! :)

Seriously, it sounds a good event. I think you'll like the Q and you can't have too much of the T9 - an LSWR engine on a former LSWR line - it doesn't come much better than that.

Doing a bit of research earlier on Loco types used at Guildford and I found this picture of 30541 at Guildford on the excellent David Heys website:
    0000-0-a-b-fletcher-30541.jpg

Also found this one of 30120 on Rail tour duty in the local area:
    00-0-a-r-woodford-30120-4-10-58b.jpg
There was so much variety in the types of loco which were based at or visited Guildford. Resident loco's which fit the bill are 925, 34007, 41312, 76017.

Probably more chance in getting 80104 or 30053 to visit from Swanage than the U boat! Either will do!
