I think I'm behind the bar on the RAT on Sunday, if so I'll get 34007 for the last run of the Gala.
That could be a busy train.

Err, since when has your name been "Duty Druid"?............................

My understanding is that the first weekend in March will be her last duties, with her final day in traffic being the Sunday, and her last duty being the Mothers day cream tea service.

Don't forget there is also the RAT & Belle out on the Saturday night.

I suppose whether or not she's rostered for the service trains over the half term, depends entirely on how she is over the gala - personally I think she'll be fine...............

BTW getting back to the gala. ;)

Is the Belle set going to be the "Bacon Butty Express" over the weekend?......

Might have to visit the first weekend in March as well. It's going to be a while before we see and hear another Bulleid Pacific in action over the Alps after 34007 bows out :(

Please be aware folks that the Timetable is being revised according to the friendface-ache page as there is an error with the last train of the day from Alresford.........
A bit of a fast descent from Medstead to Alton at the moment............

    Sorry Dave

Yes the Belle is doing "Auntie Sandra's Streaky Toasties" over the weekend, I was asked to cook but said I would be out photting!

I am working (PROPER work, not MHR) 6th and 7th of March, but hope to be able to catch the evening trains after work....

    I'll forgive you, Steve. ;)

I can see the Belle being popular on the butty front.

At least I'll get a final run behind 34007 on the freight! :)

I am unable to make this gala, I have a wife, and valentines to entertain.
Is there a way to buy this wagon, online, offline or otherwise, if not at the gala ?

I shall buy the entire stock on Friday and then sell them at ludicrously inflated prices on e-bay!!;)

Anyway, I haven't seen the Q arrive, but I did notice the mistake on the first version of the timetable - 925 seemed to make a trip attached to the back of the shuttle for no good reason. Fingers crossed for some cold but sunny weather, or even some snow at M4M!!!

New timetable for gala now on MHR website....Facebook says 41312 had a test run today - didn't hear anything in Alresford apart from Bob Deeth shunting coaches around, maybe the Ivatt popped up to Medstead??

The FB page says she has only been between Ropley and Medstead so far.
Good to see she has been out to play. Hopefully there won't be too many teething troubles. The drain cocks used to be a pain on her previous ticket.

Looking at the photo on FB the photo was taken between Wanders crossing and Bluebell crossing. Drain cocks on most LMS locos seem to be problematic.

Looking at the long range weather forecast. Light rain at times on Friday and light cloud on Saturday and Sunday.

I suspect that what we'll have is weather conditions.

Rain cover and weather sealed body & Lenses.

But I'd prefer it to be dry too. Now... Where am I going to park?
