Great news about the M7 being smoke box out of Alresford. Should stop anyone from going in to the sheep field at Alton. Let's hope it doesn't rain over the weekend. Don't forget this could also put the dampers on the WSR gala as well.

Consider most forecasts can't even get the weather for tomorrow correct, I wouldn't worry about next weekend just yet!

Watching the BBC Weather on Countryfile tonight. Possible rain Showers on Friday and Saturday/Sunday dry and cloudy. But at the end of the day it's out of our hands. I'm going to be there for all three days what ever happens with the weather.

Hi - can anyone confirm the ticket pricing for MHRPS members at galas? Only joined at the end of last year so am unsure.

    Thanks,
    Chris

Half price ie £10 for the day or £20 for the full three days- just remember your membership card, otherwise you pay full whack!

I love it, on the website it says no photos are to be taken from the lineside as this will be trespass and any such photos submitted will be subject to investigation and yet the photo to advertise the competition is a stunning image of the 9F and 34007 taken ON the lineside!:lol:

It is always good policy to include your PTS certificate numebr on any lineside photos submitted to the MHR website, they are unlikely to be published if taken from lineside positions and the photographer is not a PTS holder. There are plenty of good locations accessible by footpath or road (not trespass!) on the lower parts of the Midhants - eg

Could you possibly tell me where these locations are & how to get to them (pm me if you want) As I usually spend all day riding the trains & hanging around the stations - this time I fancy doing something different.

    TIA

    Dave

I would expect that the winning photo will be taken from a platform or other such area once where it was taken was scrutinised !! It would only be fair that way.

Just got back. Came home earlier to avoid rush hour on the trains today but plan to spend longer on the other two days. Got the M7 first thing from Alton then had 2 runs with 850 and one with 34007.

Will try and get my pictures up. Didn't take that many today.
