The 9F made a test run up to Medstead today, complete with shiny new smokebox door. It had a steam test earlier in the day DSCF0568.jpg

Does anyone know what the problem is with the MHR website ? All I am getting is "retrieving RSS feeds" and nothing has been updated for over a week, especially the blogs.

With tongue in cheek I wonder if the office is still on holiday LOL, though I am sure there is an easier explanation than that.

    Kind regards
    Chris.

I'm getting the "retrieving RSS feeds" but can click on the "All Watercress Line News" or "All Preservation News" and it pops up and is up to date.

Many thanks for that, much appreciated.

I was also wondering why the wagon group blog has not been updated since the 5th of December, have they gone into hibernation for the winter ?
    Kind regards
    Chris.

Maybe they have been taking a well-deserved break?

I don,t think so as I have it on the best authority that the group leader has been sending regular weekly reports to the office for the website.
    Rather odd.

    Kind regards
    Chris.

50 027 Lion is back in service following (I understand) being winterised.
Last night she was hauling stock around at Alresford and brought the RAT stock up to Ropley.
The middle line in the yard was therefore clear last night.

Locos in steam yesterday evening were:

Loco roster has recently been updated and states that 925 will be returning to action this month. Will she be a different colour though as I thought she was going into BR livery?

    April:

    8th - 13th April: 92212 & 45379

    14th - 23rd April: No 1, 925, 45379 & 33053

    29th and 30th April: 45379 & 925

14th - 23rd April: Thomas the No. 1 blue engine

In view of the traffic on the MHR Overhaul thread this thread has been created so that day to day operational and other railway matters can be discussed here whist the maintenance and overhaul of locomotives can be kept separate on the Steam Traction thread.

If this turns out to be unhelpful then we will merge both threads.

Took this from the A31 road yesterday near Medstead. Wouldn't mind seeing a rake of Maroon coaches on the MHR.

From what I can remember, we'll have a rake of three to run behind the Ivatt........

A full rake of 5 or 6 would be even better, then any loco would look good on the front! :)

I wonder, could we get the RAT painted into Blood & Custard?................. would certainly break up the sea of green, especially at galas............ ;)
