MHR featured in the Series 5 trailer for Endeavour shown at 10.00pm this evening on ITV. Ropley features as Norborough station. Can't wait for the show to return

Better quality (HD) trailer also available here:

Edit: MHR Features in Episode 3, "Passenger"

Those "Norborough" signs caused a weekend of confusion. The set dressers turned up early and the signs went up covering Ropley signs. There were more than a few puzzled passengers wondering if they had mis-read the timetable! :)

Some stills I took from the trailer showing Endeavour Morse at the Ropley ticket office, a man running across a field next to the MHR (between Medstead and Ropley?) and two exterior shots of Ropley as "Norborough":[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Could be but I know that through my Father who worked at the Surrey police MT garage just outside Guildford for a number of years that the Mk4s were 3 litre V6 Zodiacs, the 2 litre V4s and 2.5litre straight six engines were Zephyrs.

Definitely a Zodiac. Zephyrs had single headlamps.

Promo shot for Episode 3 of the new Series of Endeavour posted on Twitter earlier featuring 76017. MHR has a starring role this coming Sunday at 8pm.

Never mind that, I am surprised that no one has picked up on steam being used in "Oxfordshire" during 1968....

Given that in the original Morse, he used to be able to drive without holdup through the centre of Oxford and then just park at will without difficulty more or less at will anywhere in the centre of town, I think a couple of years slippage on phasing out steam is the least of your worries when it comes to suspension of disbelief!
