    Hello,

Thanks for your reply. D212 and D182 don't face any particular direction; 73129 faces Butterley and 92214 faces Pye Bridge.

Unfortunatly due to insurance we don't offer lineside passes. However there are plenty of places along the line where trains are photographable from.

I'm currently producing a 'photographic guide' to the line which I'm hoping to upload within the next few days.

    Many thanks,

    Paul

I see it now appearing at the NYMR gala over the first two weekends of May and could be staying for the peak season.

    Hello,

Yes unfortunately that's the reason but its not a big problem - at least it means all engines get more running (and a 73129+92214 double header at the end of the day!) :smt001

However, I am looking into the possibility of using 80098, however I believe its boiler certificate expires on the 21st April so this is unlikely I'm afraid. Be a bit of a mini 'BR Standards Gala' mind if it did!

More news when I have it!

Will the engines be swapped over at Swanick as they've been before?

I'm hoping to travel with the Std 5 and 9F, if I catch the 10.50 off Butterley with the Std 5 will I then be able to ctach the 9f later??

    Thanks!

    Hello there,

Yes, 92214 and 73129 will be out all day on various trains. All locomotives will be changing at Swanwick Junction.

Passengers will be able to change trains at Swanwick using the foot crossing provided!

    Thanks,

    Paul

    Hi chaps,

Great day had by all today it seems!

Had a few problems with D2138 in the morning so 08331 was substituted as Yard Pilot during the day. Mainline Engines all ran to time and faultlessly!

Hope the same happens again tomorrorw!

    Hiya

Visited today and had a wonderful time. Dad and my partner had a go on the 'driver for a fiver' and were very impressed and thoroughly enjoyed it. They can't wait to have a go at another event.

Looking forward to the 'works open day' in august. Will be my dad's 60th birthday so will be making a good day of it!

    regards jess

    Hi Jess!
Did you have a ride behind D212 Aureol? If so, I hope you enjoyed it, I was the secondman (the one in the steam uniform) :)
Overall I hope you enjoyed the entire event and will be back for some more next time!
