The Black Fives were still in Joppa Sidings when we passed with No 9 at about 10.20.

Err...Doncaster? but seriously, I'm in lancashire, and my favourite incline is just south of Lancaster station, possibly the steepest in the county, but as there are a lot of bends the time in view is short, so I may go just south of juction 33.

And yes a progress report from up north would be welcome.

Anyone seen it at Carnforth or Lancaster care to update on the running? Since they don't appear to be stopping at Preston I imagine it'll be along the former platforms

they arrived at Carnforth 1735, I only just got to the platform, they went into the loop beside EWS, so I went to the bridge at crag end just as they set off, so no chance to get in front. Oh well , 62005 tomorrow.

I did get a bit of video though, be on you tube when I get around to it, just them disappering into the distance, holding cam above me head as I move to middle of bridge.

    Correct.

I think it will be for Bernard Staite, pioneer of the mainline steam revival, passed away on Friday 10 April.

    seen that on uksteaminfo
