More 1930's and 40's paint schemes would be nice

    I think it's important to remember that some locos have now (or are going to) spent more time in preservation that they did do during their 'working life'. As much as I am all for original liveries, does it really matter if it's not historically correct for the loco? I'm not saying you have to paint a Southern engine in GWR livery as that would be stupid, but if a BR Western built engine could be put into a GWR livery for instants.

    It's also down to how well an engine suites a livery, most heritage lines will normally use an engine which looks the part as their 'main' engine in all of their advertisements to the public.
