    Photo 1 is ex LNWR saddle tank 27334 Liverpool. This loco was allocated to 8A Edge Hill and was used on the boat trains between Liverpool Riverside and Edge Hill. It was withdrawn in 1939. The photo does not look like it was taken at Edge Hill shed. I think it is Crewe, either the Works or South shed.

    Photo 6 is ex LNWR saddle tank Earlestown. This started life as loco No. 2359. Early in its life it was transferred to Earlestown Wagon Works for departmental use. It received the name there. It was later transferred to Wolverton Carriage Works. It retained its name, but received the departmental number CD8. It lasted until 1957.
