A colleague of mine told me today that he has seen one of the new Underground Met line train with an alluminium name plate on it. He didn't note the name fully but remembers Tim (someone) CBE. I don't remember reading anything about this. Any one have any further information? I make no claim to being an expert on sparky matters but I can't recall any named underground trains other then the Met BoBo's. Apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere.

Might be Tim O'Toole who was LUL MD at the time of the 7/7 bombings.

The 14 Schoma diesel locos (used on engineering trains) are named.

These are soon to be converted, by Clayton, from diesel to battery-electric traction.
