Hi everyone this seems to be the best place to put this. 30850 will be on the service train this weekend and the other service train will be 117 unit.

Ive just realised that on the New Website headers there is a line ink drawring that comes up of Lord Nelson advertising the Countryman and Watercress Bell . Shame they didnt ask if they could play with one of my photos !
Its a version of a shot from the Spring Gala I took of Nelson .Rods in identical position,Happy boy Duncan driving .. Ho Hum .

Now the marketing manager's job is being advertised I wonder if there will be a rethink on the website. Surely nobody can pretend that the new one has been an unqualified success?

Even I wouldn't say that it was an unqualified success, there were major problems which (I think!) we have started to overcome. Bear in mind that the current design is only an intermediate stage, there is a much better one coming with more features.

Maybe if there is a new manager, the web team will all be sacked, or maybe not!

Unfortunately any web site takes a lot of time and effort to keep on top of ! . One of the failings was and still is you had to know the web site and it was hard to find things .
Links from a front page wernt there and certain sections are with in others.
If ALL updates were linked off The Latest News Section, then part of the moans on here would be redressed.
Chris does keep the wagons section up dated every week maybe more .you cant ask for more however this is never mentioned with a link in Latest News ,, I hope you see where Im going with this , If its NEW information or updates it needs to be in this section.
And theres me saying I wasnt going to say anything else lol ... oh well.

A new Marketing Manager mmmm maybe we might get some good news on Charters again . nuff said...

When you say charters, do you mean on the line of Daylight Railtours? I travelled & enjoyed many of these before they unfortunately finished.

I don't think that the MHR will be involved in promoting mainline tours again. I think it was deemed that for the return on them they took up an inordinate proportion of resources.
