Does 6233 actually go to Llandudno Town as the RYTC website says it is via service train?

A solid performance by 6233 on NWCE. Nothing spectacular as the paths did not challenge the loco and it arrived at each point with precision timing. Average speed in the low 60's with one storming turn after Bangor across Angelsey reaching 77mph. Loading was fairly good with support + 9 + box. Leaving Lime Street spounded super though.

My efforts at Bagillt and Conwy. Good to see the redoubtable Bill Andrews still at the regulator.

Thanks. Missed full sun by a few seconds but still pleased with it. Screwed up my sound recording though so will have to have another crack on the 22nd all being well.

Spamcan81. That is a brilliant photo of 6233 at Conwy. Well done mate. I must apolgise for my mistaken info on rostered locos for this trip. However, saw 6233 twice on Sunday. First at Chester after I arrived back from my overnight stay in Liverpool on the previous day's Cumbrian Mountain trip behind 6201, and at Mold Junction with the sun setting. Marvellous. :)

Thanks for sharing, particularly the Abergele shot. Saves me asking if the pegs are still there.

Thanks for your kind words. Couldn't stay for the return run unfortunately so I missed the rather tasty late evening light.

The usual class act Austin - thanks.

As this appeared to be the last departure Lizzie would make from Liverpool for a while I thought I'd try your shot at Edge Hill. As you advised I arrived at Edge Hill 2 hours before the due time to secure "prime position" and had the station to myself for a good 40 minutes. Gradually more and more enthusiasts arrived blocking my going away shot but I still had the best position for the climb up to Edge Hill. Then things started to slip a little. The ecs move (Lizzie and stock dragged backwards from Crewe) was obstructed by a Virgin unit leaving Liverpool and then some rascal sent Lizzie through Platform 1 while I was positioned for Platform 3. A hasty dash round the station buildings allowed me a few seconds of the end of Lizzie's climb as a consolation.

That's very unfortunate Chris, I believe Mike was also caught out by the platform change. I think that was the first for some time that has come out on the 'wrong platform'. Still, at least it didn't head off for London! I was there at 6.20 on Saturday and was surprised to find three there already. We can try again in December for 5690 hopefully.
