Sad to see not many folk out for the Northern Belle today due to the weather especially with Four Seasons of weather expected :) No tremors expected but you never know with a black five .

Glad that 45212 has the requirements to haul these tours. Wasn’t aware of that before July.

Likely to be Tangmere if today's test run is satisfactory.

The ECS from the Coventry to Weymouth trip today heading towards Upwey en route to Yeovil Pen Mill with 57313 leading and 57601 on the rear. This train would shortly pass Bahamas inbound to Weymouth working The Dorset Coast Express. IMG_2454.JPG

Puzzling Steve, arrived in pl3, no shunt moves activated at Carlisle, dep shown from pl1 and in between both pl1&3 have been used by other trains. Did you see the outbound leg?

The 57 was doing nearly all the work as you couldn’t hear much from Tangmere .

Isn't this loco bedding in some major work on the middle cylinder? Presumably the test run was judged to be ok but it surprises me not one bit that the diesel has been doing its fair share.

To be honest Tangmere was doing the lions share on Shap with plenty of noise coming from her .

Interesting choice of support coach in the form of Mk. 2D Brake Standard Open 9493, same as on the test run.
