    Thats the place, if you follow the Thames footpath down to the bottom of the page (heading towards greenwich) you will find a highly reccomended Thai restaurant and cocktail bar.
    (I am well known to the staff of this establishment, for all the best reasons).

    If you look just above the Slipway house you can see the line of logs, and along the banks of the thames from Masthouse Pier downwards (nice low tide picture) the lines of huge log sleepers give a sense of scale of the whole length of this ship. (It was launched by being pushed, pulled, slid Lengthways into the Thames, not by the more normally method of by width) into the Thames due to its length.

    Stephenson may be a more famous name to us, but to the rest of the UK and the wider world, I think Brunel wins hands down.
