So in 1940's livery with a Hawksworth (tank at least) tender, looks very nice indeed and good to see a non BR livery for a change.

Looking good on their FB video, sporting a nice ‘modern’ looking higher tender (and air brakes obvs).

Looks great, I've had my eye on the Victoria to Kingwear SD trip that the loco is booked to haul from Taunton in June and that's given me an extra incentive.

I've only been behind 5029 once, when it double headed with 60019 (5029 joined at Taunton that day too) and it was a great performance from both loco's that day.

Great to see her back out.

Did she ever run with a Hawksworth pattern tank in service?

Going to look fantastic on the front of the GW set on the valley.

Do we know whether she's got the same tender as she ran with during the last ticket but with a new tank? Or a completely different tender?

Great news indeed So we have 3 castles in service does anyone know on here how long 7029 has left on its mainline boiler ticket 2027 possibly if it gets a 3 year extension? I can remember having a ride behind 5029 Nunney castle between Levisham and pickering and back 1st ride behind a G.W.R. castle that was as well.

Just done a quick Google search and found a few black and white pictures of the loco in BR Express Passenger Green with late crest and a Hawksworth style tender tank.

No idea if it's a new tank on the old render chassis or not. It's not the tender tank from 7027 as I think that might have still been at the GCR when I went in January.

She went into Barry with a Hawksworth Tender (no 4117), which I believe exited Barry with Hagley Hall (although she seems to have a Collett tank at least after the most recent overhaul??). I assume its an entirely new tank, 7027's tank has now rolled up to Didcot, I assume to form the basis for a Dean Single Wheeler replica? ;)

Associated with the 3 row superheater she has also gained I suspect.

Having seen it being put together and the old tank is sat on a turntable road somewhere I suspect it is same collett frames as before with a new hawksworth tender tank on top

The tender that Hagley left Barry with is the one now running with Witherslack Hall at the GCR. A tender swap was agreed during their latest overhauls.
