Oops! :Shamefullyembarrased: Fixed. Mind you, if you've ever ridden at the back of an unfitted freight when the guard isn't quite on it with the handbrake, fright might be the right word...

Well, both the freight driving experience and the museum opening went fantastically well, but today it was back to restoring wagons...

Here are the before and after photos - we didn't have enough time to completely finish it (final fixing, trimming and painting to do), but we stripped and replaced a van roof today...

Friday saw another successful freight driving day with a Class 37 substituting for the Deltic, and then on Sunday Josh and I were only there long enough to cut all the conflation floor planks, but the others made good progress on the PalVan.

Finally, we are squeezing in one more event during this running season - an all day freight photo charter with Hunslet Austerity 3193 masquerading as Boston based LNER J94 68018 on Monday 30th October, £100 per person.

Out of traffic Austerity 75006 will also be participating in the photo charter as Boston shed mate 68070, with a bit of smoke and mirrors :)

Thoroughly enjoyed yesterday's photographic charter, and we were exceedingly lucky with the weather too given East London was getting drenched when I left home.

The weathering on the Austerities really added something - if you didn't book, you missed something great. If you're new to charters these, I think, are a great way to start. Very relaxed and still provide excellent shots.

Great photos - sorry I wasn't there to enjoy the day too, but I was slumming it at the Savoy celebrating my 30th wedding anniversary!

There are a lot of fantastic photos about on social media too. General feeling is this is one of the best photo charters we've done on the NVR for a long time :)
