Outward timings now on RTT: http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/U50567/2014/08/03/advanced

UKSteam and 5305LA website both show 45305 - but isn't this still stranded at the Worth Valley?

Yes I believe so, therefore it's very likely UoSA will be out again...

Althought there has been some heavy rain in Cheshire, the Welsh coast seems to have only had some light showers, Sunday expected to be dry and sunny, but there will still be a diesel on the back to facilitate the shunting at Holyhead.

So there's no sign of 45305 at Crewe yet ?

Despite my antipathy to tours with diesels attached, SWMBO and I travelled on the last one. A very good performance from No9 with no pushing from 47245.

Confirmed that it's still marooned at Haworth, and as per Ralph's post above it will be no.9 on Sunday since there's nothing else at Crewe.

A few shots of UoSA cruising through Cheshire yesterday at Moore, Frodsham, Dunham-on-the-Hill and finally (a shot in the dark) Keckwick:

Was this train running late on the return trip , as I was looking across the Dee estuary & didn't see it at the expected time ?

No mention of the NWCE for the 17th, ran to time, No 9 running easily throughout. 37 pushed on a couple of departures but backed off once we were rolling. Most of the time speed in the high 60s. All passengers seemed happy and I did not hear any complaints.

No comments from me Ralph as the site seemed to be down. All seems back to normal this morning.
Here's a video of No9 leaving Chester last night:
