Surely the point was that he was providing some information but apologising that he could not provide more. Seems reasonable to me.

Post 8 in this thread we got.

"Gonna be out for this as it's such a one off special and got a plan sorted out for the day but I wont be revealing details."

Then in post 16 we get.

"Further details on running and photographs of her progress I am not permitted to release."

I see no point in telling us he can't tell us, why not just say what he knows or can tell and that's it.

He's not alone in claiming to be in the know but coy on detail. It should be in the things that wind you up thread. Assume that's the purpose.

Quite so. I doubt he has much of interest to say anyway.

Bahamas worked the Ynys Mon runs in 1991 but they started from Crewe.

Just found a pic on the web of 5690 leaving Holyhead. It's dated 20/5/2006 and the Jub worked the train from Tyseley.

A good question but certainly Summer 1980 when by co-incidence the same loco done some of the Lime St - Victoria "Rainhill 150th Anniversary" celebration trains. HTH.

Thanks for all the replies, I knew I could rely on the NP team to come up with the info.

Reported in LE moves that 45699 is vice 45690, stabling CHC - which is rare for a WC loco is it not?

Beat me to it, I was on that. During the season Leander worked out of Tyseley, in return for them fitting her with all the mainline gadgets. Cracking run it was too!

Some will be thrilled that Galatea is powering Sunday's train.
