All continuing to be well (!), Wells and 31806 are in action daily until Thursday:

Wells has been offered a very good deal at another railway which is why it isn't going back to the KWVR for the rest of this year. Let's face it the KWVR have a superb loco fleet at the moment so its hardly required there.

I would recommend a trip to see 31806 and Wells in action at the NYMR this week whilst they are still there. Yesterday I had a great day with excellent performances from Wells, 61994 and 75029 and had plenty of time with 31806 also. In fact I enjoyed it more than many a gala visit.

31806 continues to have priming problems, the water at Pickering really does need sorting out, it must be very frustrating for the loco crews to keep having priming like this and then loosing time.
Yesterday on both trips from Pickering 31806 primed a great deal on the climb from Levisham to Newtondale requiring stops for the water level to be restored at Newtondale halt.
The first climb from Grosmont was taken slowly and it took around 21 mins for the climb to Goathland, the second run it was opened up more and it did the climb in 15 mins 15secs with load 6.

I would not be surprised with Wells staying at nymr especially with the a4 out of action.

It's only operating at the NYMR until Thursday, its another railway that has made a very good offer for a number of steamings.

I'd suspect East Lancs. Was getting a good amount of steamings there, and no doubt will have more if a return was on the cards.

Edit : Appears it was confirmed a few hours ago on the East Lancs Autumn Gala thread! Oops...

Yes the East Lancs, work on the Diners, Santa Specials etc etc. One of the owners only lives 5 miles away and can hear it from his house.

I think the main reason why it isn't going back to the KWVR is because they can't get it back, either by road or by rail. Had a good day on it, today; none of this slipping that they have a reputation for. It rides very well and was a pleasure to drive; a shame that it is leaving the NYMR so soon. Haste ye back.
