If the theme is loco's that have been based on the line over the past 50 years, it would be nice to see 75014 make a visit.

5025 alongside 5428.... that would be a sight!

No mention of 44806 there - with the boiler going back on very soon I imagine that all the stops will be pulled out to have it ready in time
Good to see the TSR Management revealing their position here!

Would have thought it make perfect sense, although I have no idea how many engines are operational at Dartmouth these days.

Two Black 5's does sound appealing.
    15 Guineas recreation maybe?

From pictures and youtube videos 75014, 4277 and 4555 are used, the red S160 seems to live by the turntable at Churston and doesnt appear to ever get used. I think i saw a previous comment from a DSR crew that said it hadnt been modified since it left Poland and isn't liked!

I don't know if it's only being driven by the owner, he was down there in April and 2253 was being used then.

It may not be liked - they are after all an acquired taste - but I can assure you it has been modified, probably several times, over the years since it left Poland.

Here it is on its first weekend in traffic on the NYMR, 31/10/92. As you can see this is very much in Polish condition with electric lights everywhere and and no vacuum brakes so it could only work a demonstration freight for this end of season gala. It was later vac fitted with British lamp brackets and a shute under the smokebox to aid disposal as it did not have its intended self cleaning smokebox kit. Those electric lights were great for prep and disposal on dark winters days.

    Why’s that then …?
I believe another loco will be leaving Devon before Goliath returns …

So what's the point in having it then?
Churnet would benefit more from it.

I think he meant 5025 and 5428 looking back up thread. Can't see another Black Five bringing in too many extra passengers though myself, it's not like they are rare on NYMR services!

But it can’t leave until 5239 returns …you said so .

How many of 4555,5239,4110 and 75014 were away together earlier this year ?

5025 would attract passengers to any English line of length (after 50 years in Scotland ),as would 46512 and in due course 46464 …

Might be just me, but I'd prefer to see a Mickey Mouse Ivatt visit, as they were shedded in the area and seen on the W & P and surrounding lines, probably more so than Black 5s.
