Also when they say limited seating on the pullman for non dining train passengers is this a couple of normal coaches tagged on?

Thanks for this, I'm definitely leaving Whitby to Sunday so I can catch the freight train but also get to ride behind 63395, one of my favourites.

Comments have been made on NYMR about having the Diesel on the Battersby run and Pickering to Grosmont etc at a Steam Gala. :(
Let's just hope the steam end of train isn't tender first.
Personally shocked, if a Black 5 is running double headed would much rather one taken off and put on the other end of Battersby instead of Diesel class 25, what with extra charge for this section run, but always surprises at our galas.
Be nice the double headed freight runs though.
Hope everyone still enjoys their visit, and everything that is going on.

In response to earlier question, yes there is a ticket that covers everything, 1,2 or 3 day Rovers available as details listed on Diesel Gala thread.

Despite only one black 5 being passed to go beyond Grosmont?Perhaps you may prefer 44806 to Battersby, but I don't think NR would be too pleased.

Can anyone confirm if a plan still exists to use 5029 and 2807 next Weekend for a Swindon GOLD TT day?

May have a family issue that means I can't make this weekend, if not I still want to come and see 5029 if she out.

1501 has broken a spring and is restricted to Grosmont station duties. Springs were noted as weak yesterday, don't know if there is a spare with it.
5029 late leaving Grosmont due to "brake problems".

Just wondering if anyone on here knows if there are any discounts for being a working member on a railway which the NYMR has a reciprocal arrangment? (I know we give discounts at our gala's to WM from other railways, but different places do different things) If there is I'm more likely to come tomorrow, even then I might anyway.

I presented my ELR working members card in July and got discounted travel, though it was a non-gala day. I don't know about any reciprocal agreements but it's worth a shot

Ok thanks, I might come then. BTW as a ELR volunteer you get discounts at SVR galas.

1501 has now had a temporary fix, supposedly limited to 15 mph.

As it is a visiting loco of a type not native to the NYMR, I'd have thought highly unlikely that there is a suitable spring in stock, so unless the SVR have one and are on the motorway in a van even as we speak...
