Although there is no mention of the K1 having failed, there is no longer any reference to it on the gala web page: http://www.nymr.co.uk/special-events/scottish-branch-line-gala/

There is also a new version of the Sunday timetable and loco roster on the website, without 62005: http://www.nymr.co.uk/wp-content/up...Gala-May-2016-v5-Allocations-Sunday-8-May.pdf

Full marks to the NYMR for publishing that, but the absence of any explanation is a bit strange, and the overall effect a little spoiled by the continued inclusion of 62005 in the list of locos scheduled to run today.

Great show from the NYMR, The highlights for me was the volcanic display from 63395 up the 1/49 and 'Royal Scots Grey' on the Esk Valley Line ! I hope you enjoy.

Thought yesterday might have been a bad idea with the weather looking a bit dull, but I'm glad I got out of bed with my 6:20am alarm. Even though the K1 has got sick it was still on display for the morning with the K4 also out being cleaned.

The Deltic was a big attraction for me, broke my virginity to it yesterday, very impressed with this machine! Powerful thing! All the locos seems to be up to standard, the black 5 on the shuttle was an interesting attraction, certainly looked the biz!

    Well done NYMR!
