We were banned from eating Kinder Buenos on a school trip on the bus because of the same reasons. The level of forethought required for allergen control and safety is quite incredible because the way lactose and gluten hides in food. Crisps we serve at work do actually have lactose in them which probably has a sensible reasoning behind it but I'm struggling to find why a potato chip covered in flavour dust has such an ingredient.

Walkers had a problem a few years ago, I think it was their cheese and onion wasn’t suitable for vegetarians but I believe Smokey Bacon was, we stock Rib of Roast Beef from Fairfields, lovely crisps but how on earth are they suitable for vegans?

It was indeed cheese & onion which were the only ones in the range using animal remnants, all the meat flavoured ones were suitable for vegetarians.

Upstream, somebody with a nashing of teeth, said that RMBs were limited in scope for improvement. So I was interested to spot this image of an RMB from the S&D Heritage Line. Possibly too many bottles but there is a selection of food too. Compare this to the Severn Valley Railway, where many items are often hidden in boxes behind the counter and the display is extremely minimal. It is also worth noting that RMBs do have propane storage tanks fitted for gas fridges, and can therefore be fitted out for refrigerated foods such as sandwiches.
