Last weekend with the Peacock at Nantmawr this weekend, here's a shot of her being prepped on Saturday in front of the shed specially built on the old loading spur underneath the Lime Kilns. Her boiler certificate runs out on the 14 December and she is due for her 10 year so will be made ready for a strip down on return to Foxfield.

On the Cambrian situation, the TVR guys at Nantmawr are still independent of the Cambrian Trust and Cambrian Society. I hope they do find a way to bring all three together, the TVR guys are a great bunch and have probably the most interest route of the lot. Looking forward to returning at a future date with one of our locos to do the whole route from the junction to the quarry.

Must say what a fantastic bunch they are up at Nantmawr! Let's hope Both the Cambrian group, and the Tanat Valley group work together in the future, to create a very interesting network of lines.

Avonside1563 could have taken the pic when I was the other side of the loco!!!

The 'Toad' arrived back at Llangollen today and a tank wagon chassis left to go to Nantmawr.

They are very busy down in Oswestry at the moment. Take a look at what they are digging up at the moment.

Follow the update on the 12 December to get a feel for the progress. And I am sure they would welcome some more hands. Now you know how to work off the excess pounds over Christmas

Had a quick look at the osrail website, the green arm sticking out of the side of the Beyer Peacock in the centre photo on the home page is my little lad's!

Are you think about getting some treatment for it? Green arms can be a sign of serious health problems... Sorry long night!
