The current projects page still states :---"For many years now it has been the aim of Peak Rail to achieve that goal of operating a train service into Matlock Station and at long last, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

The first phase of the work is to get the line reconnected at Matlock Riverside and we are clearing the site of vegetation to facilitate slewing our existing track over to meet that of Network Rail. Signalling work will include the installation of the Luffenham Signal Box which is currently being restored at Rowsley."

It hasn't changed since the new site went live.

basically we have a 19 lever 4 inch frame mounted in the ex luffenham cabin, which will be transported to riverside and lifted ontop of the blockwork( same as NNR HOLT cabin),the cabin will have an internal staircase and standalone facilities for the foreseeable future, signallers will have PNB needs accomodated within the building,-eg toilet-sink etc, weve spent over a year restoring it,changing the windows over to anti vandal materials etc........

the exterior signalling is all in place ready to be connected upto the box once lifted,

    hope that helps boss

    Update

    S&t

Telecoms were busy working on their side as well as sorting out a supply for our point heaters.

we were busy clearing out the riverside cabin for moving and attending to stores work, thanks to to Mr Briddon for helping us too.

Johns been busy working out exactly where the compensators need to be spliced into the run and David was busy doing some painting work.

    Locos n stock

Mr Briddon senior and younger were busy with work on the Drewry (WD) general maintenance etcetera, Mr Powell was workign upon the interior of the Delacher vans, hes nearly ready for some painting on the exterior,we had a long chat about the original colours of the stock, never realised there was a brown and blue liveries.(ps does anyone have any specs for the colours they could pass onto John as he is looking at getting the colours matched)

Noted the Class 50 lads were busy as well as LMSCA.

    Darley Dale

we had a film crew down for the day, quite a crowd too.
