Timings for Tornado's 1st post pandemic railtour are below. Note that the routing is now outbound via the ECML with Tornado being attached at Barrow Hill, and a southbound return on the S & C with Tornado coming off at Hellifield. A reversal of the original itinerary which has not yet been amended on the Tornado railtour page.

That's a shame. If the usual timings apply to the CME, we'll be long gone by the time 60163 gets to Carlisle.

I thought CME was 14:40 off Carlisle?

I suspect on this day they will both be P3 at Carlisle, so waving to each other at Petteril Bridge Jct.

Last CME I was on departure was 14:11. That was introduced with the enhanced Northern Timetable, of course what may be going on now is anyone's guess.
Down here in SWR land the May "back to normal" timetable is far worse than 2019 offering.

As I read it, it’s as advertised but reverse itinerary. Tornado on at Barrow Hill, westbound on Tyne Valley then south over the S&C.

Where did you get the idea that Tornado is only doing Hellifield to Hellifield?
I made it quite clear in my post with the timings that the routing had been reversed.
The Tornado Railtours website has also been updated to show the new routing.

My mistake then Groks212 cos of how tired I was after working at K.L.R. yesterday so 60163 commences at Barrow hill and goes anti clockwise to carlisle via Durham northbound and switches at Hellifield southbound for diesel ok.

If you look at RTT you will see separate LE move to Hellifield for loco swap later.

Had a complete disaster at Frickley this morning while parking, car bogging down into some dumped spoil that wasn't visible and getting stuck so bad I eventually needed towing out! If he reads this huge thanks to the other guy on the bridge with me who stayed to help me try and dig it out and waited until tow truck pulled me out around hour and a half after Tornado had passed. In between managed a quick one camera video had intended setting up both. Nice location but next time think I will walk!

My pic of 60163 on arrival in carlisle with my younger brothers mate who came along today with me on the Pennine explorer and also my 1st westbound run on the Tyne valley line, a very enjoyable day and hope that other passengers enthusiasts and lineside photters have had a good day out filming or travelling on Tornado today. 20210522_175553.jpg Davo 56F
