What excellent suggestions by Corbs, a Pannier gala with ex 'Mainline locos in Industry' as a theme. No tenders to transport' so saving on costs and three locos just the right size for the trains you run and none of them that far away to transport. Of course 7714 and austerity 68077 would be other candidates in the future.

Looks like an absolutely superb event. I'd hoped to be there on the Friday, having made a flying visit to the line during the September 2013 event and really enjoyed it, but for family medical reasons other things had to come first last weekend so a few adventure plans were sidelined.

My only request for 2015 would be to keep it as a three-day event if possible - with so much going on railway-wise in September every year, that extra day gives a bit more flexibility to attend a variety of events in one weekend (in 2013 my PBR visit was on the Saturday as a route home from doing the NYMR diesel gala on the Friday and then the South Devon gala on the Saturday night and Sunday) rather than having to choose between them.

Traction-wise, anything is fine - I love the backdrop and the atmosphere of the line so as long as 3-4 locos are operating and the service is pretty frequent, it's a gala I'll want to go to.
