Press Release - Talyllyn Railway running more trains to meet Santa

Discussion in 'On Track.' started by Karen Willans, Dec 5, 2016.

Two more Santa Special trains have had to be arranged on the Talyllyn Railway this year due to increased demand.

The extra trains will run on 23rd December departing at 11am and 1.30 pm from Tywyn Wharf station to cope with the extra bookings.

As with all the Santa Specials these will run to ‘Plas Nadolig’ where children will have the opportunity to meet Santa. They will also each receive a present and have the chance to have their photo taken with the man in red.

The train then returns to Tywyn Wharf after the two hour round trip where complementary mulled wine for the adults and mince pies for all will be available. The café will also be open for hot meals.

Talyllyn Railway Preservation Society Chairman, Ian Drummond, comments:

‘Our Santa Specials have a reputation for quality and this year the previously advertised trains have booked up sooner than ever. Therefore, it is great that we have been able to provide these extra trains at short notice and our thanks goes to everyone who has made this possible. However, I do advise people to book early as these extra seats are already selling fast’.

Tickets can be booked on-line at www.talyllyn.co.uk, by phone on 01654 710472 or in person at Wharf Station.
