Interestingly the ECS move with 5043 from Oxford - Didcot is timed to pass 35028 on the VSOE heading in the opposite direction, somewhere just south of North Hinksey, albeit with the latter being hauled in reverse by diesel.

That could make a nice "trick" photo then if you were lucky enough to be at the spot where they crossed, looking like both trains were running parallel in the same direction :)

It's a 90th birthday trip for a well known North Warwicks line individual. I had the pleasure of a trip on the 75th Birthday trip with 80079

I see from the times that it's Dep. Moor St. 9.04 pass Tyseley 9.08. I know she's a nippy loco. But not that fast.:)

Going well through Warwick Parkway about 10 minutes early on the return. Got on the platform just as she came round the bend.

Went out on this one to get back into the swing of things after six months off work.
I was pleased to meet Jane and her Husband at Didcot. It's nice to be able to put faces to names on the forum:)
Two photos. 5043 at Stratford this morning and Clan Line lurking in the FGW sidings at Oxford this afternoon.

People living in the Banbury/Oxford area must have thought the railway had been turned into a preserved line today with all the steam flying around the area.:clap2:

After walking 2 miles across Warwick Racecourse I made it to the station with seconds to spare! No time for tripod or planning so not up to my usual standard, but as no one else has posted anything then why not?
