    Thanks for the update and blogs and thanks for the description of the axle box exam. It was good to read because it is one of those things that always gets blogged about in a sentence and rarely described in terms of what is involved and the time it takes. It was nice to see things below the solebar getting as much blog coverage as things above the solebar.

We want to avoid being an engineering authority, but happy to advise as it's not our place to be an authority. That is between an owner/owning group and their railway to discuss and set out between themselves.

    Spent very enjoyable first visit to the GC, with a lot of time at Q&W taking in the atmosphere and re-enactments. Was very impressed myself, and some of those I was with who are not enthusiasts were also very praising of the 'show' that was put on.
