Quite right, it seems to UK steam has now reverted to 34046/52.

Yes, you are quite right Paul. A little slip up on UKsteam. 6201 was put on the wrong train. Options for July the 9th are now 34067/35018

Just speculation, but I suspect there's an outside chance it might be 70013.

Good point you bring up there. With all that 70013 has been possibly scheduled for there has been no info on the steamers status.

If you are keen on a maroon loco hauling the train out of Weymouth you probably won't be disappointed it just won't be burning coal I'm afraid!

Unfortunately that's looking pretty likely at the moment. I can't think of any other steam loco's available for the trip.

Wouldn't surprise me, seeing that 34067 hasn't moved since April.

It would need a lot of shoving but could Kinlet Hall come out at short notice?

I knew it was being withdrawn after the summer but didn't realise that it has already been withdrawn from mainline service, could a tysley loco come to the rescue or is that too much organising and cost?

Tyseley's fleet has only been used once by RTC from personal recollection. Whilst a 4073 class has done Weymouth-Westbury, when's the last time an example has done to Waterloo, or even a 49-69xx for that matter?

I think it would be wishful thinking, although 34046/52 seems to have dropped off the menu according to UK Steam. So currently we are down to 34067 (if it emerges) and something else, not excluding a DL. A Scot has done it, albeit six years ago.

Sorry if it's been covered before, but the outline timings on RTC's site show 40 minutes both ways Waterloo to Woking, but the outward run is supposed to be via Staines. Is this just a 'holding' page, or has/will the outward routeing be changed to the main line (he asks hopefully)?

Waverley times for 10 July now up on RTT. Return times look more civilised than expected.

17 July also up, FL on outward between Thirsk and Birtley, but a 20 minute stop just beyond Durham. FL Northalleton to York. Looks to be fairly well-timed.

Just had an email from RYTC:
The Swanage Belle (Thursday 14th July) and the West Somerset Steam Express (Saturday 16th July) will now both be hauled by 46115 Scots Guardsman.

That would tie in with the tweet from Gravy Train Catering earlier about 46115 heading south.

The LMS takeover of the South continues apace! After 45699 and 46115 winning a few new friends south of the Thames, I see from the RTC website that the Poole-Worcester Cotswold Venturer on Saturday 30th July is now booked for 46233 Duchess of Sutherland http://www.railwaytouring.net/uk-day-trips/the-cotswold-venturer-3.

And we've still got Lizzie to come on a few SD trains once its teething problems are sorted out while the Riley Fives are booked for some December RTC trips and, for good measure, 46100 will be joining 45379 at the Mid Hants Autumn gala http://www.watercressline.co.uk/product.php/33/autumn-steam-gala/13433726ccd66a1ce32c95d9834c55fc .

Much as I like Bulleids and am particularly looking forward to 35018's return, I guess I'm not the only one who is enjoying the prospect of something a bit different down here.

Meanwhile, what is expected to haul RTC's Cumbrian Mountain Express on Sat 23 July. I am not sure that there is anything available that is gauged for the Cumbrian Coast ? RTC's website gives no clue.
