There's a Tin Bath running though.

Got to admit though the RTC schedule looks pretty much a re-run of last year and centres really around 2 engines (34067 / 70013) with a few others by others.

Has one of the Royal Wessex trips that runs from Three Bridges to Weymouth been cancelled or replaced? The first ran from Brighton to Southall diesel hauled then steam from Southall to Weymouth. I think there was a second one planned but on December 8th there is another Bath and Bristol from Three Bridges and no sign of another Royal Wessex.

I must say that as much as I like Tangmere and Black 5's (that generally seem to cover 34067) I would like to see some different locos on the Three Bridges tours.

Agreed, 34067 is a great engine and I adore the noise it makes, but I am seeing an awful lot of it at the minute and would like to see something other than 34067 or 44932...

    60009 anyone? :D

I like 70013 and 34067 very much. I do think that a few of the other though should be in the program. I think a little bit more variety in terms of the motive power would benefit this schedule. It would be good to see engines like 60007 and the other 2. 46233 on some of those winter Cumbrians etc.

Actually, if you read the tour descriptions on the RTC web-site, you'll see 60007 does have several tours in November and December, including a Newcastle - KX - York marathon.

There was only one in brochure and one on the website. The only place I have seen a second one mentioned was on here and no date was given.

Fancy the Tin Bath, but five and a half hours Manchester to Sheffield? Probably bike it in that time. Was two hours thirty some minutes booked a few years ago.

Tin Bath looks interesting passes through my local station. The times are a bit out 16.30 to 18.00 Sheffield to Manchester via Penistone and Copy Pit :flypig: I hope the restriction at Hemmingfield Tunnels been sorted or will it all change route by the time of the tour ?

Once Flying Scotsman is complete, there should be some progress with a number of Bulleids destined for the main line - 34046, 35027 and 35009 to name but three. Also 35018 has been bought by West Coast with a view to main line operation, and 34092 is apparently going to go main line after a year on the KWVR. I guess you'll have to "grin and bear it" with Tangmere for a bit, Dan, but give it a year or two and things may start looking a bit different.

I'd like to see 46115, 46233 and (when ready) 45699 run a few tours in the South, but I guess there may be a few clearance issues.

46115 and 6233 have run down south so unless clearances have changed, there are some southern routes available.

It will be interesting to see how 45212 affects 35009's place in the queue at Bury.

Whilst applauding the re-run of The Tynesider this year, i worry about the advertising for it.

It is advertised as 60007 Ncle - Kings X, then return to York, diesel back to Newcastle.

4 Hour run from Kings X to York for the A4, should be a good run then, however on checking 60007 website, it is only advertising 60007 to Kings X ONLY.

Hopefully its a website error, as 60007 is required in London for a series of tours, and a long range l/e run would be costly.

Unless I'm mistaken it makes perfect sense for 60007 to work NWC - KGX only as it puts her in position for the run on the following Saturday from KGX - LCN and return.

Hmm, that's not good news if true - was looking forward to Number 7 out of The Cross on the way back...
