The times I have received show it northbound via Shap and southbound via the S&C. Steam leg is Carnforth-Carlisle-Farington Jc. But I am not sure that these are the final times.

What are the chances that 6233 shall be added at Crewe where it is based? I guess little to none but that is an option that RYTC could take.

If you mean the Crewe summer pool then most likely yes... Taken from the Website, it should be 46233, 70013, 60009 and 45305.

Pehaps Mike had forgotten that with the green livery Duchess of Sutherland is now 46233 and not 6233...

I have also seen some provisional times with steam booked from Crewe including LE move from Carnforth. Although only skeletal times from Crewe and arrival at Carlisle I have calculated times as Crewe = 10:00; Farington = 10:40; Blackburn = 11:00; Clitheroe = 11:35; Hellifield = 12:00/12:50; Ribblehead = 13:15; Appleby 13:55/14:15; Carlisle = 14:50. To date I have heard nowt regarding working north via WCML and south via S&C but since paths are in the system for steam operation both ways on both routes I would presume a change of direction would be easy to make at any time.

No, I just like the LMS numbers despite the paint schemes. Same for most other locomotives 4498/60007 Sir Nigel Gresley for example.

I wouldn't be surprised if 34067 makes a few appearances, with 70000 and 4464? Maybe even 70013? I can dream...

Do you mean the Sunday Bristol-Weymouth trips, or the mid-week Dorset Coast Expresses from London?

The DCEs are supposed to be from a pool of 777, 70000, 4464 and 34067, and should be different locos out and back.

The Sunday trips are more problematic. Of the nominated locos, Nunney Castle is having new tyres fitted, and Braunton is not yet certified for the mainline. It might make sense for the loco that hauled the DCE down mid-week, and therefore is probably laying-over at Yeovil Junction, to work the Sunday train, assuming the L/E moves can be arranged and a support crew is available.

sorry, yes I meant the Sunday ones. As you say both rostered locos are unlikely to be available. Nightmare for the organisers to lose both.

Oliver Cromwell shall be a part of the Crewe Pool this year, so I would not be expecting that on the Weymouths

34067 Tangmere, I think is going to power the first Weymouth. She shall be pulling the Royal Wessex the day before from London to Weymouth w/70013 doing the eastbound to London. A light engine from Weymouth to Bristol I don't think shall be that far fetched.

Last year, 70013 did a lot of swapping between Crewe and Bristol to keep things happy. It turned up at crewe late because of work down south and then left early for more work filling in. I expect we will see the same this year.

Crewe of course was also short last year with 46233 being out of action.

As Britannia and Duke of Gloucester are down there, will they be an option?

Just received my tickets for the "Swanage Belle" on the 21st and it says the locos are now 70013 and 34067 so, will 70013 be fit?
