Simon you must have been just a bit up from me, I was in the dark bit at the end of the platform trying to get away from the crowds...

Here is a vid i took on 18th nov waiting for 60163 on its Test run. It shows the two Valenta Grand Central HSTs passing eachother within 10 seconds on the ECML near York at Shipton.

If anyone ever asks for an example of the Doppler Effect, then that whistle as she goes past is the perfect one.
You have to remember that I sometime do the 200 mile round trip to Shap on my own just for the one shot, so going to Northallerton with Neil and Matt was a breeze especially with Neil doing the driving, and a good job he did as well.
Go to Warrington to see a 67 and stock, I wouldn't bother waking up to see a 67, whatever one of those is.... :-k

You are correct that it was taken from the "wrong side of the fence"

Thank you all for your concern. I found this forum purely by stumbling upon it in Google. I'm Darren, I currently work for Network Rail as a Signalman at Coundon Road signalbox in Coventry. I hold a valid PTS. On the day in question of the 'Industrious Trader' I wasn't at work until the afternoon, although I did inform my manager what I was doing. Also, in the video when the train is exiting at Three Spires, the gentleman who waves to the camera from the cab of the Class 37 was my ex-manager, so if anything was to have been said about me being trackside, I'm sure the company would have had something to say about it by now!

My local line, The GWsR held it's Christmas Diesel Day yesterday (27th Dec 2008) and it was such a splendid sunny morning, I had to get the camera out of the bag \:D/ the results, for those who are interested and have 10 min's to spare, can be seen by clicking the image below.

    Re: Railway Video's on Youtube

Not a YT vid but a vid all the more......

The West Coast Railway Co Diesel video review 2008 (38 mins)

    Hi guys,
Something to keep you occupied and for you to enjoy here! Hopefully anyway!
It is my WCRC review of 08 includes various front window/coach on train shots as well as many lineside shots, and a guest appearance from a certain Napier powered machine...... :D

You may have to download the player and create an account (only takes a couple of mins) but trust me its worth it!!!
I would recommend Veoh to those of you who wish to make vids of 10 mins+ it takes a good few hours to upload(not download should work fine for you guys to watch) on about 20-50KB/S upload speed but i imagine some of you will have 100+ which in some cases you would be able to do it a lot quicker. Please watch it and give feedback,it has afterall taken me a good few hours to make and i hope you appreciate it! :)

    Cheers,
    Mark!

    Re: Railway Video's on Youtube

Youtube, well it's great to share but a few minutes video in the public domain could just cause a little bother. (hope not though!)

Do a search for 60009. Getting a move on? Wish I'd been there.
