I'm trying to compile a list of those British Heritage Railways that have secured twinning arrangements with overseas railways.......
    • Bluebell Railway <<>> Museumstoomtram Hoorn-Medemblik (The Netherlands)
    • Bredgar & Wormshill Railway << >> Chemin de Fer de La Valée de l'Ouche (CFVO) (France)
    • Festiniog Railway << >> Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (India)
    • Great Central Railway << >> Zuid-Limburgse Stoomtrein Maatschappij (The Netherlands)
    • Kent & East Sussex Railway << >> Chemin de Fer de Baie de Somme (CFBS) (France)
    • Leighton Buzzard Railway << >> Chemin de Fer Froissy-Dompierre(CFCD) (France)
    • Middleton Railway << >> Stoomcentrum Maldegem (Belgium)
    • Moseley Railway Trust << >> Frankfurter Feldbahnmuseum e.V. (Germany)
    • South Devon Railway << >> Chemin de fer Tounstique du Vermandois (CFTV) (France)
    • Talyllyn Railway << >> Puffing Billy Railway (Australia)
    • Welsh Highland Railway << >> Harzer Schmalspur-Bahnen (Germany)
    • West Lancashire Light Railway << >> Train à Vapeur du Lac de Rillé (AECFM) (France)
    Are there any others?

    Chris

I seem to recall that the Ffestiniog was twinned with the CF Vivarais (France) many years ago; not sure if the arrangement persists or not given the elapsed time and all the turmoil the CFV has been through in recent years.

I think the Welsh Highland has a twinning in place with the Sandstone Railway in SA as well.

Leighton Buzzard is also twinned with the Matheran Hill railway in India.

Noticed a sign in the NRM today saying it was twinned, or something similar, to a railway museum in Japan.
