    It's interesting to note that out of the whole list, the only loco which has not been restored to either display condition or working order is 'Cecil Raikes'.

    I find it quite amazing that the list was more or less adhered to. The only 'casualties' wee 54398 and the Caprotti Cl5. What happened to Ben Alder was a tragedy and I don't think I've seen a reason why.. I've also never seen a reason why a BR cl5 was dropped but it was a duplication in many ways. It was still on the list in 1964, though.
