    Confirmed Itinerary & Timings

I have the official WCR timings sheet in front of me as I type. The answer to your query would appear to be, NO it isn't going via Copy Pit ... on the second trip round the 'loop', that is!

Incidentally, what is not stated on UKSteam.info is that the the ECS departs Carnforth at 07-19 as 5Z28 and 1Z28 departs from Preston's Platform 4 and returns to Platform 6 (as 1Z29). The return ECS (supposedly still with 46115 at the front) departs on the Sunday from Preston GL dep 17-06 Carnforth D&UGL arr 17-39. :confused1:
The load, by the way, is '11-on'!:clap2:
Let's but hope for some decent weather (again!) :smow:

She didn't look or sound good at Culcheth, the loco was totally obscured by steam and moving at around 8 MPH or so. I will post a photo shortly.

    Neil.

    BTW, nice photo Phil.

Failure is once again a shame for all the people who bought tickets, but I also feel for the owners and the organisers. WCR will have a huge bill to put Guardsman right but as always they will deliver. RTC will work with WCR to re-run but probably with a different loco. RTC are a very respectable operator and value their reputation highly. I'm sure that in the end, everyone will have a good outcome. As someone who has sat in a failed Pendolino on a number of occassions, I reckon we have to put this into perspective... mechanical things do break down, old and new.

I agree the operators will bounce back and make the tour on a later date. I found RTC very professional in their operations. Guardsman will get the attention it needs it's a fantastic loco, just look back at last years performances.
