We (Birmingham Railcar Workgroup) have a Mark 1 General Utility Van (GUV) for sale.

It is 86267, built 1959 Pressed Steel and in preservation since 1996. It has been a stores vehicle for us since then but is now surplus to requirements. It has received no restoration work.

Condition is essentially complete however bodywork is poor. Some images available at: https://www.flickr.com/photos/brcw/sets/72157644573580656/

Some more facts about the vehicle:
Sits on BR1 bogies with good wheelsets/tyres.
Braking is complete as far as we know, vac only.
Vehicle is complete other than window glassNo other major bits missing except the buckeye on one end
Evidence of ETH cable (bits robbed by vandals/thieves) and steam heat pipe fitted.

Offers at or above £3,000 are invited by June 15th. Please make offers to christophermoxon8@hotmail.com or 07985436050 (although E-mail preferred). Viewings are available (with notice!) and recommended to avoid disappointment as there are too many details to put in one E-mail - arrange viewings via the same contact details. Vehicle is located at the Churnet Valley Railway in Staffordshire.

    Hello all, re-available

Whitwell and Reepham railway are selling their BR MK1 suburban, No 46116, more information can be found here: http://www.cs.vintagecarriagestrust.org/se/CarriageInfo.asp?Ref=1961

It is in need of a extensive overhaul but it is virtually complete.

It is with regret that we are selling the carriage but due to the lack of funding and restoration space needed, we are unable to provide the TLC it needs.

PM me for more information if you are interest.

Out of B. R. loading gauge - that's why they can't use it into Eridge and are selling it. Wasn't there a recent article about the mods required to the one on the CVR? IIRC it had to be 'slimmed down' over the cylinders and cab. Ray.

Anyone aware the LMS BG that was at Crewe has been moved to Booths in Rotherham? Reports elsewhere its due for disposal mid-August, but can be bought for the right price beforehand. However a plan for asbestos removal will be required.

TkH's as built are slightly bigger than BR loading gauge but will fit many UK lines as they are not as big as many foreign locos - it is not for example a problem on our line clearing all structures Tunbridge Wells to Birchden as it is, but due to the mile of parallel running with Network Rail and our strict adherance to current mainline gauging requirements for that section the use of the loco is restricted to the rest of the line.

Possibly. 0-4-0ST complete but, inevitably needs a bit of boiler work (some restaying & tubing) It is not mine to sell but the owner has previously expressed an interest in doing so. PM me if interested.

The TkH tank currently operational on the churnet valley (and ex Spa Valley) has been modified to suit BR loading gauge by building a new cab, and cutting down the water tanks/bunker, and shaving a bit off the cylinder castings.

The BHR have a wagon surplus to requirement and for sale, as posted on the M Shed FB group by David Martin:

"The 'weed killing' wagon is a chassis ex Purton. The axles are stamped 98 (tbc) and the wheel base is only 8'. The wheels are a design I have not seen elsewhere, the brake gear is also somewhat primitive, but effective! The wagon is surplus to BHR and for sale."

If you are interested, please contact me via PM and I can forward contact details.

Do you know if 4015 on the AVR has had similar treatment?

Hard to be certain from that photo, but they look as if they **could** be the spoked variant of Mansell's Patent:

If so, they could be unique survivors.
