    Very nice.

Sadly, Hyperion was one of those I missed out on. A pity, because I always thought it was a cracking name. :)

I can't 'like' the fact you missed it but I think it's a great name too, possibly why it's stuck with me all these years. I only ever saw A3s on holidays in Scotland.
In true Doncaster fashion Hyperion was named after a Derby and St Leger winner of 1933 - naming doesn't seem the same these days.
( In Greek mythology Hyperion was one of the 12 Titan children of Gaia and Uranus)

Anyway another few from the weekend :-
A different view of that bridge from North Queensferry, Errol where just like Tornado in 2019 the sun dipped at the wrong moment and one from the return trip at Dunglass which would make a nice Autumn shot (what you don't see is how close the TransPennine 802 was to being in the way).

E-ticket posted today for this Saturdays White Rose with 35018

07:23 departure off Kings Cross with a 13:04 arrival into York
Formation should be 11 coaches with 4 premier, 2 first and 3 standard (including buffet and brake), also adding in support coach and kitchen car into the consist

I suspect the premier dining portion will be at the steam end this time round and standard at the rear

Interesting to note that the 'West Somerset Steam Express' on 22nd July may not have a diesel in attendance. The tour departs as the 1Z52 07:00 Paddington to Bishops Lydeard. Soon after at 07:12 there is an 0Z52 working from Paddington to Southall. [BJ]

Has been done before when Reading is far too busy(?) at that time on a Saturday evening to accommodate a railtour.

Yes it is doing the Halton Curve, 10:10 off Liverpool. I'm afraid I am unable to attach the links to RTT, but it is supposedly 45690 'Leander' hauling the trip.
