Is it correct that the Welsh Mountaineer on 18th July has been rescheduled to 1st August, ad per Rail Advent

A few clips from yesterday's 'North Wales Coast Express' hauled by 45690 'Leander'. Seen at Edge Hill, Bagillt, Penmaenmawr, Llanfairfechan, Rhosneigr, Rhyl and Sutton Bridge.

Still showing that on Saturday, and 35018, hence why a lot of people were intending to see it later I spoke to at Doncaster.

Yes it was - I find the Railway Herald usually lists most tours but often they are not updated from the initial posting, always best to check the tour page on the companies website that is usually most accurate. A good example is on Railway Herald todays Steam Dreams Garden of England tours are still shown as via Strood when they were changed to via Dover months ago.

    33025 was left at Paddington.

Late start due to no dispatch staff being available.

Bahamas taking a steady but noisy approach to Brewham summit at 10:40. 11 matching maroon coaches today and no support diesel :)

The weather was rather moist (p×××ing down) but the video is superb. Thanks to all concerned. [BJ]

Does anyone know how many miles the mancunian route from Euston to Manchester is, thinking of doing it hopefully with 6233 on it's hometurf in November.

    Thanks

According to the RTC website it's in October.
The current PDF timetable doesn't show milages, but here's the relevant page from May 2014. 116¼ Euston to Lichfield (but add an extra 2¼ for going via Northampton) then another 68 from Lichfield to Manchester Piccadilly.
I'm tempted by that one myself, but not keen on the early time at Watford or even earlier if I want the climb out of Euston.

Rail Miles engine says 65 mile 39 chains to Northampton & Northampton to Manchester Piccadilly 120 miles 10.
    Route back may be longer.
